Remember they don't care!
The gobbling body-snatchers don't care what's between the pages as long as the money keeps rollin' in and the magazines keep goin' out they're golden.
'nuff said.
wow, not seen this before...... http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/article_08.htm#only.
how openly ignorant and distasteful.
talking down cancer sufferers and alcohol addicts as wanting wickedness!.
Remember they don't care!
The gobbling body-snatchers don't care what's between the pages as long as the money keeps rollin' in and the magazines keep goin' out they're golden.
'nuff said.
i had a phone call recently.
two elders want to come round.. now i ve been out for approx.
8 years.
If you're already out RUN AWAY!
Otherwise be prepared to bend over and get an assload of wash-towel bait and switch $ociety, courtesy of the gobbling body-snatchers and your local elderberries.
for those who are still in, are you dropping little hints.
among your friends , this is not the truth.
i realize you must.
Sow? Hell I'm a seamstress!
You just have to sow softly and quietly to avoid aposta-radar detection.
AND
You must sow like a ninja, so your companion will not know he has been planted with seeds of doubt.
BWAHAHAHA
why is it jws believe the old testament and yet ignore the other religious commentary and sprititual aspects available from the jewish culture.
take jesus for example, no where is he mentioned by name in the ot or in the writings of jews who lived in the first century, and still believe.. kaballah is another weird, astrotheological part of jewsish religion, magic numbers, inner soul, magic powers, astrology and so on.
how do they explain the same jewish leaders who run the jrwish religion also came up with this stuff ?.
Remember that modern Christianity bases itself on the contemporary Bible of which the Catholic Church chose the canon; so it’s not complete in inspired writings. This may explain why other theology and religious beliefs are similar but have more information; it also may explain why the Bible can't clarify aything.
i grew up hearing that over and over.
i used to think about those bumper stickers that say i would rather be golfing or fishing.
jw's should have bumper stickers that say i would rather be going door to door.. once i got old enough to understand it, i used to beat myself up all the time because some of the most hellish days of my life have been out in service.. for so many reasons even more then i will list!.
I'm with wha happened.
I can't think of a good day in field circus cause they were all bad.
below is from an email jw match sent me to get more involved on their site.
taking into account how the borg feels about dating (do they still want you to be chaperoned?
) i was kinda taken aback to see this.
I wonder what kind of “real” witlesses use this site? I get a kick out of one's looking for another strong JW, really!? The fact that you're using this site, and the "match" you find is on there too, means you've been naughty and aren't looking at your watchtowers you evil apostate.
some men probably got off on the power/ego trip being a male jw gets you, but i never cared for it.
i'm an introvert, and was an especially awkward one at that haveing been reaised in social isolation, so it was about the strangest feeling in the world when as a newly-baptized teenager (back in the day) i started to pioneer.
i was about as green as you could get in every way but i was told i had to take the lead in the service meetings and the car group.
Some people are natural born leaders and other are not, no big deal, but it's a disgrace when an entity can browbeat men into leading because they need them; oh, and women weren't born with a magic appendage, so although capable, aren't allowed to.
Personally I don't necessarily like leading, but if something needs to be done I put on my big girl panties and get to work; I’ve been counseled about this for “taking the initiative”. (I’m talking about small things like grounds keeping and minor repairs at the KH, they still need to be done and no one else was willing, yet I’m suppose to let it go to hell while waiting for a brother to do it? Huh?)
I guess that's why the borganizations view of leadership and submission has always been kinda like sandpaper on my already watchtower chafed backside.
..now read this.
reasoning book page 65 paragraph 3 -- " two things can help us to understand the bible correctly.
first, consider the context (surrounding verses) of any statement.
I've always gotten a kick out of hearing witlesses say everyone else interprets the Bible wrong because they take things out of context or only view one scripture without reading the surrounding verses.
HA HA HA HA HA
That's exactly what they do!
HA HA HA HA
john 10:16 - and i have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also i must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.. setting: jesus was talking to a blind man he had recently cured and the pharisees were listening in.
it sounds like he had a larger audience that likely included his apostles.so, who is "this fold" he was referring to and who are the "other sheep"?according to wts doctrine, the heavenly calling (covenant) had not been instituted yet.
we don't hear about that until the last supper.
@ dog id god: So true, I made a comment on another thread about the tower of Babel. I questioned the unified message of the bible because there are so many holes in the modern version. Part of that post read:
This leads me to ask: When the Catholic Church assembled the Bible cannon, why did they choose the books we know today? What other inspired writings were there? What else were they considering? Where did those writings go? Why weren’t they included?
What is modern Christianity trying to hide!?
john 6:53-58 states:.
53 jesus said to them, very truly i tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and i will raise them up at the last day.
@Ding: I was just thinking out loud; but I do wonder who else might do their own observance.
I'm thinking of doing my own this year because it seems like the right thing.
Then again, I could be wrong too.
